2008 State Tournament Results

Wrestlers from the Olympic Wrestling Club performed very well in Atlantic City and Rochester at the New Jersey and New York State wrestling tournaments over the weekend of March 7-9.  Olympic had 27 wrestlers qualify for the tournaments (the highest number of qualifiers ever for the Club) and 7 of them medaled!  We couldn’t be prouder of our guys!

The OWC system has proven successful over the years as we’ve produced 6 State Champions and a total of 33 State Medalists since 2004.

2008 Regional Performance





Last weekend high school wrestlers from around the State competed in the 2008 Regional wrestling tournaments and the right to compete in Atlantic City March 7-9 for NJ State titles and in Rochester, NY for NY State titles.
    
We’re enormously proud of the 27 wrestlers from the Olympic Wrestling Club who will go for the gold!  These wrestlers competed in Regions 1, 2, and 4 in NJ, and Sections 1 and 9 in NY.

This year’s total of 10 Region Champions and 27 Region Medalists exceeds last year’s performance when Olympic had 23 wrestlers in A.C.  We’re proud of our guys…make it happen in the tournament!
